To me scholarship is an achievement. Being a scholar is having goals academically and achieving them also.
Being a scholar means working hard every day. Waking up with a positive attitude and being prepared to learn. You try your best no matter how hard something you're learning may be. You stay up late and work on assignments and study to benefit yourself in the long run. You get things done on time. You respect your teachers and appreciate them for teaching you and helping you on this journey that eventually will lead you to a successful future. That's what being a scholar means to me. I have challenged myself scholastically this year by simply becoming a better student. Last year I didn't care and i never tried hard. I never did homework nor did I have the interest to learn. Realizing how important these high school years are, I now know that I messed up. This year I am working so hard in all of my classes, I get my work done, and i stay up late no matter how tired I am. I'm glad that I work harder now and even though it's been hard, the end result will all be worth it.
